Compliance to REACH

REACH means the Regulation of the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of chemical substances.

The previous chemical-ordinance was tightened and improved by this regulation which went into effect on June 1, 2007. In consequence the industry is getting more responsibility. By the means of REACH the hazards of substances for the health and the environment are to be assessed and controlled.

Basically REACH does apply to all substances which are manufactured in the EU or which are imported into the EU.

The EU has established the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) based in Helsinki to control the compliance to the regulation.

SUMIDA Components communicates with its suplliers to guarantee that all substances, preparation and goods which are used in the production comply with REACH.
